PMSA has been performing the pivotal role in implementation of Deep Sea Fishing Policy. PMSA strictly monitors licensed foreign and local fishing trawlers through air and surface surveillance. PMSA is also manning satellite based Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) that has enabled round the clock real time monitoring of deep sea fishing vessels.
