The 22nd Offshore Patrol Squadron comprises of four BARKAT Class Corvettes and two Island Class Cutters, commissioned between years 1988-1990 and 2017 respectively. BARKAT Class Corvettes were built at Haungpu Shipyard, China. Since their induction into PMSA fleet, these ships have served extensively in host of Maritime Security operations and have been considered pivotal in combating Drug-Narco trafficking and against illegal poaching at sea.

Island Class Cutters : PMSS SABQAT | PMSS RAFAQAT
The EX USCGC Grand Isle (WPB-1338) and EX USCGC KEY BISCAYNE (WPB-1339) were Island-class patrol boats operated by the United States Coast Guard. The Boats were commissioned in 1991 (in USA). In December 2016, these boats were transferred to Pakistan Maritime Security Agency and commisioned on 21 September 2017.
